Our brief was to establish Grand Designs Live as the place to go for home build advice, helping to contribute to increased footfall for both the London and the Birmingham shows.

HOW WE DID IT

We pulled together mammoth campaigns with multiple layers including two jam-packed media days with headline talent, Kevin McCloud, AI-generated images of the UK’s dream homes, data-led content, and features and commentary from our experts – all to drive awareness and consideration of both events.
For each show, we came armed with a stunt to elevate the launch moment. From burying a time capsule at the NEC stuffed with nostalgic items from 25 years of Grand Designs builds, to hosting the world's first Flatpack World Championships, we're a dab hand at generating noise beyond the traditional ribbon cutting.

When we say we got Kevin’s face was everywhere, we mean it! From page leads in the Times to sofa slots on This Morning, we landed blanket coverage for Grand Designs Live – so much so that the TV producers were a little concerned about the impact it could have on their planned 25th anniversary celebrations.
We got our time capsule on This Morning and the Allen key medal from the Flatpack World Championships on Lorraine, the pinnacle hits of two incredibly successful campaigns.
